Noojee Accommodation Guide





Nestled on the Latrobe River, Noojee is a charming town located in Gippsland.

It is 125 kilometers east of Melbourne.

The town's name originated from the aboriginal word with the meaning "place to rest".

And its' valley was referred to by the Aboriginals as "Valley of contentment".

Pretty good place for a holiday, wouldn't you say?

Ironically, the first European explorers in the 1860s were diligent tin miners and prospectors.

Sydney Wentworth Smith opened the Noojee Hotel in 1925, primarily for the expanding timber industry.
