The Toast to the Coast is an annual festival.

It is completely dedicated to wine, music and great food.

The Bellarine Peninsula and Geelong region is proud of its wines and local produce and shares it with you in one special weekend.

Wine has been used for medicine, religion and fellowship.

Toast the Coast offers fellowship and much more!

You can enjoy wine master classes, vineyard tours, gourmet dinners and local food, as well as music to liven up or calm your spirit.

The Toast to the Coast is a free, public event. If you wish, you can spend a mere $10 for a souvenir glass to take on your tasting adventures. And if you are lucky, you may win a wonderful holiday just for tasting wine! Less than an hour's drive from Melbourne, locals and visitors can enjoy a weekend away from the crowds, saunter through the region's wineries, and enjoy the day at vineyards that include winners of the five-star rating and "Outstanding Winery" by James Halliday in the Australian Wine Companion 2009. Fourteen venues and over 100 wines are at the event for your pleasure. It's a perfect weekend getaway!

What's On Offer?

The Surf Coast presents the visitors with Bellbrae Estate sharing the weekend with local wineries and breweries with gourmet food thrown in for good measure. Surf and jazz music are provided over the weekend. Mike Fitzpatrick, owner of the Pettavel Winery and Restaurant will allow you to tour his winery, as well as arranging for Hummer stretch limos and Harleys or helicopter flights and even something to satisfy the wee ones!

Would you rather not have gourmet because you like simple foods like pizza? No problem, Brown Magpie Vineyard will feed you with wood oven pizzas as you sip on their wines. Are you just looking to indulge your creative side while quenching your thirst? Then try out the Feehans Road Vineyard and Don Thompson's Art Exhibition. Swap meets, golf and classical guitar will draw you into the Minya Vineyard.

Change of Scenery

You can travel for a change of scenery to the Moorabool Valley. Cooking lessons, wine tutoring, chocolatiers and funk and reggae music can be experienced at the Austins and Provenance Wines. Take a stroll through an actual vineyard with Damien Lowrey of Clyde Park Vineyard. Feel like Spanish? Then come on over to Del Rios Vineyard at Mt. Anakie.

Would you rather enjoy the smaller boutique wineries? Visit Mermerus Vineyard for a variety of locals with their wares and wines. Market stalls and jumping castles for the kids can be found at Bellarine Estate alongside their creations. For a really easy day, head on down to the Banks Road Vineyard and sip your wine on timber decks while getting the chance to meet the winemakers and wander through the vineyards.

Toast to Coast is raising money this year for the Barwon Health Foundation.

They are in need of Emergency Department equipment. What an excellent way occassion to contribute, make a difference and indulge in wine and local produce!

With free buses and designated driver programs it is a well organised weekend.

Eat, drink and be merry!
